I 3D printed a translucent 'case' to hold some of the electronics, the motor, and the LED light strip that reacts to the music. I then cut a hole in the jukebox with a Dremel and 3D printed a piece to cover my terrible cutting skills.

I used ESPHOME to bring in the information about what's playing, and I added 20 images of varying length lines to display the track progress depending on what percentage of the song has played. The screen is a LILYGO TTGO T-Display ESP32, and I'm only using it to control the display. I also used paint remover to remove the front logo of the record player and used the Cricut to cut out a new one. There is a transparent holographic overlay in the middle that shimmers as the record spins. I designed the 'logo' for the record, then printed and cut it out with a Cricut vinyl cutter. It's very overpowered for this use, but it's the best I could come up with. There are smaller motors for sure, but I couldn't find one that was low speed and I didn't feel like working up some gearing. The record itself is attached to a motor I bought on Amazon, and it's simply controlled by an automation linked to a smart switch that turns on when my Kitchen Apple TV is playing something. I knew I had to get it to use in my project: I wanted to make a jukebox, and I was browsing Etsy and found this vintage radio that looked like a record player. I have to manually open Spotify on the iPad and connect to the Apple TV in my kitchen and living room manually. Then it controls Spotify on my wall-mounted iPad, and AirPlays it to my Kitchen and Living Room speakers. The scanner tells Home Assistant to play the specific album or playlist depending on what card is scanned. It's $700, so it's not worth getting for just this project, but I needed it for something else, and I had this idea once I started using it and saw other people post similar projects where they printed on stickers and put it onto the RFID cards. I printed the RFID cards with a Badgy200 ID printer.
